Muncie 449-D Power Take-Off (PTO) Yoke Set Screw
This set screw is used in PTO driveshaft or PTO end-yoke assemblies, where it secures the yoke to the PTO output shaft or to the joint component. Because PTO driveshafts are subject to vibration, torque pulses, and shifting loads, the set screw plays a small but critical role in maintaining the mechanical connection and preventing loosening or failure of the yoke.
By including a hole for safety-wire, the design allows the screw to be locked in place (via wire tying) as an anti-loosening measure in heavy‐duty or variable-duty service.
