Muncie SPD2001A Standard SPD Kit

The Muncie SPD2001A is part of Muncie Power Products’ SPD-2000 Series of “System Protection Devices” (overspeed/rate protection modules) designed to safeguard hydraulic and PTO systems. The SPD-2000 series (including SPD2001A) monitors inputs such as truck speed (MPH) or engine RPM and automatically disengages the PTO or clutch pump if preset thresholds are exceeded, helping prevent damage from overspeed conditions. It can also integrate safety interlock signals (e.g. from neutral switch, brake switch, door switch, pressure switch) to further shut off or prevent operation under unsafe conditions. The SPD-2001A is the “Standard Kit” version in the SPD-2000 lineup, which includes the module, I/O harness, and a “tap to program” harness.

• Output Rating: Up to 5 amps continuous for the PTO/clutch output.
• Operating Temperature: −40 °C to +85 °C (–40 °F to 185 °F)
• Inputs Accepted: RPM or MPH signals (sinusoidal or square wave) in the range of 1 Hz to 10 kHz.
• Mounting & Use: Sealed module, to be mounted in cab or engine compartment, resistant to tampering and extraneous interference.
